AB K9 Training

Alice Berwick, founder of AB K9 training is the puppy/dog training by excellence. She is more than a dog trainer, she is a dog whisperer. She is training my Labrador Retriever puppy, Othello, who is now 14 months old. She adapted a bespoke programme in detail for Othello who took to her and her training like wild fire. Alice connected with Othello, and all the dogs I have seen her interact with, because she has learned through her long experience with a pack of 17 dogs as well as her training of both horses and dogs. She speaks the animal language of the animal she interacts with. A great part of it is a gift, another part is her love of dogs which all dogs respond to because she also commands an authority, another part, which mixed with her empathy for these animals, who are utterly dependant on humans, creates an ideal learning and bonding environment. She has enriched my world by allowing my relationship with Othello be a tight knit bond based in obedience and compassion. Thank you, Alice! You are an exceptional human being!

Alice has honestly changed our lives!! We came to her with our 10 month old working golden retriever - who had 0 recall & no interest in us when out in the park, which meant she couldn’t be off the lead. Walking her was no fun at all!! After working with Alice for a couple of months, she’s just turned 1 and an entirely different dog - near 100% recall (even away from her favourite things!) and has learnt so many other activities/tricks (e.g., search for keys, sit and stop when she’s ahead of us, spin, touch, middle, the list goes on). We are so beyond grateful to Alice for all her incredible expertise and guidance, I honestly don’t know where we’d be without her! We can’t wait to see the continued progress Winnie makes!

Alice has been working with Ava since she was a tiny puppy, and we couldn’t have asked for a better trainer to guide her through all those important early stages. Ava is a super friendly whippet who absolutely loves to play and run — sometimes a little too enthusiastically for other dogs! Alice immediately understood her playful nature and created a training plan that helped Ava learn how to read social cues, play appropriately, and stay focused even when she’s excited. Because Ava loves to chase, we’ve also worked on recall and control during those high-energy moments — and the improvement has been incredible! Alice’s positive reinforcement approach has made training such a joyful experience for Ava and honestly for all the family. Ava always looked forward to her sessions, came home happy and relaxed, and continued to grow in confidence every week. Alice is professional, supportive and always available to answer questions or guide us between sessions. We are so grateful for everything Alice has helped Ava achieve so far.
